toggletoggle post by corpus_colostomy at Apr 17,2009 8:50am edited Apr 17,2009 8:52am
i know im not coming with "objective" criticism, but the irony is that perhaps i am; afterall, im not in the band anymore.

first off: eric's feet sounded incredible! blastin was sick too!!

second: blue your ibanez....sounded pretty bad.
i know it was a radio show and all but it just wasn't up for the task imho. where was the les?

also-i was genuinely suprised to hear how most of the songs have been tweaked and re-adapted. some of riffs that i used to love, have been omitted or augmented, which on one level is totally cool and acceptable, but on another level, it was also kind of disappointing..alas i did write 98% of the album so my perspective here puts me in the minority.

hope my criticism is viewed as being constructive..no negative vibes here.
new song sounded good and im looking forward to seeing the set LIVE in new bedfid.

toggletoggle post by blue  at Apr 17,2009 9:12am
I have no problem with that at all. I personally thought the guitars were sounding great (obvoiusly) which was reaffirmed to me when I listened the CD of the set and from people in attendance.

The songs really haven't been altered that much aside from the fact that we started tuning to drop a. Just trying the make the songs a little more exciting to play I guess.
