The production of the prius has been refined since it's launch and is not 'quite' as expensive to run per mile, and isn't more expensive then a hummer to run anymore, but the pollution aspect stands.
This is the reason electric cars would never catch on.
the electric car is clean in itself, but the plant supplying you electricity is burning more fossil fuel to power your electric car then would would just burning liquid petroleum.
i dont believe that last statement... power plants are extremely effective and alot of our power in nuclear which really isnt that bad if done properly

I think we should look back in history for a solution....

I find your lack of grammar....disturbing
but on a serious note, is you saying that a lot of our power is in nuclear? Because last time I knew we were far behind on nuclear power because of all the green peace fags.
I say we just build wind farms far out in the gulf of mexico/ far off the coast of Maine.

Not a whole lot of out power is nuclear.
Do research on the tesla roadster and tesla white star.
The very few nuclear plants we have are effective in creating energy, but alot of it is lost and dissipated by the time it gets to your car.
Short of having a nuclear reactor in your car, this just isn't a plausible solution with modern technology.
I can't remember the name of a perticular source I read recently, I'll haveto search for it, but it said electric cars are as much as 30% less efficient because of all the electric energy that gets lost in conversion.
