Last week I was listening to FNX (I drive a delivery truck) and it had one of the guys who created rock band. At the end of the show he said "this band Gridlink is the next U2". Then they played it on the radio! It was ridiculous to hear extreme music through shitty truck speakers. I had to be one of the only FNX listeners to know what the fuck it was.

Don't forget about Blood Duster.

well if you want grind, stick with the swedes and the finnish cuz they fuckin own this genre..examples...nasum, rotten sound, the arson project, splitter, afgrund, sayyadina, the achilles last stand, regurgitate

But America has some amazing grind bands as well such as Pig Destroyer, Shitstorm, Magrudergrind, Mumakil, Robinson, Insect warfare, oh and a personal favorite of mine..Kill the client.

Or you can go for the future grindcore, drum machine shit like the berzerker, agoraphobic nosebleed, gigantic brain, bob drives a combine....etc.

Its all good.

Come on, Magrudergrind has released way better shit than that, the Sanity's Dawn and Godstomper splits are far more essential.

I will mention Excruciating Terror for they are old and unmentioned.

I will also mention Hip Cops because they rule and are fairly new.

I somehow missed Kill the Client and Shitstorm in my list, but yea they're both great.

Exit 13 is a good listen every now and then. Their split with Hemdale is gross. Glad to see Excruciating Terror listed. I can't think of many other bands after seeing everything listed already...except maybe Gronibard.

the authority on all things grind is Mick Harris
and he said that without blast beats, punk drumming, punk guitar riffs, and the occasional "slide riff", it is not grind. (meaning a grind song must contain at least three of those four things, if not all four)

let me put it in a more simple way. if you are listening to a grind album, and none of it resembles punk in any way, nor do you hear any influence from the first napalm death or carcass albums....it's probably not grind.

Loosen your bra strap, they just aren't a grind band.
