The 49ers just lost a draft pick (I think it's a later pick but it's still a kick in the nuts to them) for trying to negotiate with Lance Briggs while he was still restricted to the Bears. Herm Edwards also just came out and accused the Bucs, and the Rams of unfairly negotiating with free agents before they were allowed to.

I hope they all get nailed for this. You'd better believe Goodell cracked down on the 49ers just to make a point in light of the whole Arlen Specter Attention-Gate saga. Considering that there's no way to really prove that the 49ers did anything wrong, a loss of a draft pick is probably a little severe. I hope that for the next year all you hear about these teams are people saying they should be kicked out of the league, or fined $10 million, or not allowed to play in playoff games. I hope all their hard work, and dedication is questioned, and belittled by people who never played football, and don't follow it. And everyone involved can thank crybaby Eric Mangini for turning the NFL into an episode of Where in the World is Carmen San Diego.

i reacted the same way when i heard about the 49ers. i'm going to call them cheaters all season and if they somehow win the super bowl, i will say it needs to have an asterisk next to it. spygate, meet your little brother, tampergate.

Ponder this one:

Which has more potential to effect the outcome of a game / season:

1. The illegal taping of signals (which everyone is trying to steal anyways, and are probably fake if a team is smart enough to realize the former fact).
2. The illegal acquistion of players, which (contrary to what most loud mouth Patriot haters think) are actually responsible for playing the game of football.

I'm not waiting for a superbowl win. I'm going to campaign to have the 4 wins the Rams squeek out next season astrixed and/or erased from NFL records.

Here's some super clever nicknames I've comeup with for the ESPN.com messageboards.

The FortyCheaters
The St. Louis Scams
The Tampa Gay Buccaqueers

They are cheating. You just don't notice it because they had Matt Leinhart flush his career down the toilet, and went 8-8 last season so no one would notice. Diabolical if you think about it.

none of those nicknames beat the hilarious and clever "belicheat"

This just in: St. Louis Scams have reportedly signed a deal with former Patriot Reche Cheat-well. Was cheating involved in the deal? How much cocaine is Stephen Jackson snorting right now? We can only assume YES, and LOTS.

why doesn't anyone make a big deal about the cowboys of the 90s? that team had its own whorehouse and drug cartel. if goodell was commissioner back then, the entire cowboys team would have been suspended longer than pacman jones.

The Dolphins signed a guy a full 27 minutes into free agency. When you're dealing with millions of dollars and multiple years, wouldn't it stand to reason that it would take more than 27 minutes to negotiate a deal like that?

Miami should lose its major league sporting privaleges.

Solid point. Just out of curiousity who was it?

i think the 9ers lost a 5th round pick. i wouldnt call that harsh, unless you think they'll take this years Tom Brady.

Justin Smiley. He was a guard who played for San Francisco.

toggletoggle post by The Revealer at Mar 25,2008 8:39pm
The story announcing the move was posted 27 minutes into free agency by Matt Maiocco of the Santa Rosa Press-Democrat. And given that the article has three paragraphs of quotes from Smiley, and assuming that the conversation between Maiocco and Smiley lasted at least five minutes, there’s no way in hell that the Dolphins first initiated contact with Smiley at 12:01 a.m. EST.

They lost a 5th round, and will have to swap picks with the Bears for another round. On top of that they already lost the 7th overall pick to the Pats. That's not the kind of drafting power you want to have when you're as weak of an organization as the 40Cheaters.

Well well... the Mi-scam-i Dolfakes illegally swiping players from the 40Cheaters. What a tangled web we weave...

Belicheat and the Patriots have no class, also Manny doesn't hustle like Melky so he sucks. ASTERISK ASTERISK

Oh yeah, are those RED SUX gonna demand more money for their coaches to leave Japan? Greedy classless bastards 26-7 26-7 26-7 26-7 26-7 26-7 Sets a bad example for the children who love to watch sports, how am I gonna tell my boy that he can't watch Manny not run out a grounder (which encourages my boy to not hustle) because some greedy bastard coaches wanted the money MLB guaranteed to them? And why did Manny get $10,000 for winning the game MVP today, he didn't hustle and the A's were the home team, why

They shud put an asterisk on the Red SUX season becuz they played two games in Japan when baseball is AMERICA'S PASTIME

Cheatriots 18-1 18-1 18-1 18-1 18-1 18-1

I masturbate to a picture of Joe Buck every night when my wife falls asleep.

HAHAHAHA. So ignorant. So perfect.

I spent a whole morning harassing the shit out of some guy on Fox Sports that said he won't let his kids watch the NFL anymore because he doesn't want Bill Belichick influencing them.
