I e-mailed the booking guy just to see if I could book a show there? what does everyone think of this place? I've never booked a show before so I am going into this sorta blind.

all bands that i'm pretty sure haven't played this club yet. I'll post here when I get some dates back and more info.

btw, none of this is set in stone, i'm just posting it here for reference.

are their $1 drafts? doesn't matter we'll play it's seems like everything i post has the word beer in it just so you guys know theres only two severe drunks in the group stainless is one of them and the other one toucher of the boobs if we were all drunks we would be named the_Drunkwork.

If I actually do get to book a show here, I'll try to do another one and get different bands on it. I'm thinking way to far ahead of myself I think.

you need to keep the ball rolling with shows. if you get a good show at a venue and they want to give you another date you've gotta pounce on it like a rabid tiger. start your own shit = label/promotions. if it's anyone , you've got the motivation and will to do it.

i never booked a show at a club so i could offer no advice there. i did actually get off my ass to call some local halls and vfws today and everyone gave me other numbers and times to call the owners and no one that i did talk to seemed thrilled about the idea of metal shows.

no you are not thinking too far ahead beacause shows are usually booked at least 2 months ahead of time so if show#1 goes well then you want to do another show its gonna be like 2 months later. if you realy wanna make a go at it id say line up 2 or 3 shows one a month so if they do well the ball will still be rolling so to speak. then if it does well try to keep it simple like 1 a month at various venues or maybe you could do something like bostons dead once a month there if all goes well.

if i get a hall it would be a more diverse lineup like

ATR or Cannae or some national band on tour (preferably ATR cause they are huge but not too huge. i need a venue before i can even seriously think about the lineup)

murder in the first
akela
some shitty local opener with members in high school.

i think all said bands would bring over 20 kids in this area plus high school kids have nothing better to do.

Ya we played there earlier this month, cool bar, nice stage, AWESOME BAND ROOM...yes thats right a real BAND room thats backstage and has couches, hair gels and acoustics...they also had beer on ice in there for the bands, really cool place to play. although a sunday, imo, wouldnt draw much....we played on a monday and 2 people were there for 15 minutes.

sunday would draw more than a monday.
