There is nothing cheesy in any of the newish testament albums.... Low, Demonic, and the gathering are great heavy thrashy albums. Look at bands like at the gates and darkane, maybe I'm getting old and there is some new term for it but I put on thosse albums and get a whole ass full of thrash. If you want to talk cheesy look at all the Black metal bands with their makeup and their fake names now thats cheesy.

First Powermetal is the cheesiest form of metal, although its still awesome. Besides all that other shit, death, black, grind can all be traced back to thrash.

kok, you're a cool guy and everything, but thrash is amazing, just as long as it's REAL thrash, i.e. old Slayer, Hypnosia, Nuclear Assault, Kreator, Serpent Obscene, Destruction, etc. Thrash till death mothafuckow!

i think all forms of extreme music are cheesy in their own way.

Power Metal-obsession with fantasy
Black metal-obsession with being 'true'
Death metal-obsession with, well, death and murder

I guess it all is semi-cheesy, but the same elements that make it so goofy make it so amazing.
