I think it's actually considered a US protectorate state rather than a territory. there was a vote about four years back to annex them into the US but the vote ruled nay. Thank fucking christ. And no, the US has no official language set in stone, but as for anyone immigrating here I'd consider it an unwritten law to speak the language although I didn't when I moved here... it's just the right thing to do.

As for an official language english is not a standard but all official documents form the government are written in english so it is assumed to be english.


and fuck you to all you schools that are syaing we need have our kids learn spanish, I took german when I was in high school, if spanish becomes the second language kill me.

I agree with having spannish taught in school, but only as an optional class, alot of places make it obligatory. I'd also like to see more languages than just spanish and French... maori would be nice.
