Anyone read this? I'm sort of interested...

toggletoggle post by Mark_R at May 28,2013 9:43am
Yes. The first one was better (I feel cliche'd saying that, but it's true). But if you are into this kind of stuff in general, there's a lot to like about it. I plan to re-read the first one again in the near future, but I'm 50/50 on revisiting Judas Unchained.

Pandor's Star? yeah, that is the one that I was thinking about starting with.

toggletoggle post by Mark_R at May 28,2013 10:08am edited May 28,2013 10:09am
If you've got the time, I give it a solid recommendation.

I'm in the middle of Pandora's Star now and enjoying it. Technically written sci-fi, I dig and recommend.

SON I AM DISAPPOINT

toggletoggle post by largefreakatzero at May 29,2013 3:12pm
It just a machine that lets you read books, thereby I have deemed it "not that gay".

NICE TRY ARIL.

Am I doin' it rite?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 30,2013 9:49am
I'm thinking of trying that.. but digital books are still more pricey than paperbacks.

toggletoggle post by Ancient Master nli at May 30,2013 10:11am
You can find almost all e books free on soulseek

toggletoggle post by ark at May 30,2013 10:31am

MUSTY PAGES AND BROKEN SPINES OR SPENCE

toggletoggle post by largefreakatzero at May 30,2013 3:50pm
LOL.

To Aaron, I don't think they're more pricey than paperbacks. Plus you can get a ton of shit free.

I have the regular old non-backlit Kindle and I love it. Doesn't hurt your eyes like a computer screen and the cover has this handy little light thing so you can read in the dark.

Hey I can appreciate books, I've been in commercial printing for almost 17 years and love the smell of offset ink. But there's only so much room for crap. And I need room for moar guns and moar ammo...

Off subject, I just did shoulder presses with the equivalent of a Spence in each hand.

Kinles are great if you have to travel. I like that I can read pdf files on it for my research. The best part? It fits perfectly in the pocket of my Jnco's

toggletoggle post by The_reverend   at Jun 2,2013 8:51am
Too bad the average jnco wearer doesn't read. Otherwise, they would understand how magnets worked.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 20,2013 7:03am
liking the book a lot.

toggletoggle post by largefreakatzero at Jun 20,2013 9:03am
You're reading Pandora's Star, right? I'm about halfway through and totally into it. Print version is 992 pages, there's quite a bit going on.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 20,2013 9:29am
I'm a wicked slow reader. It says 33hrs left in the book. I saw that the paperback was 992 and almost didn't start reading it. Also, that prologue was awesome because it didn't really matter and got me focused on reading and not letting my mind wonder off.

toggletoggle post by largefreakatzero at Jun 20,2013 10:37am
The book has a ton of technical details that I prefer not to skim over, so for me it's not a quick read either.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 20,2013 11:38am
I think I'm going to sit outside and read at lunch today.

50% through. I really hate when they go back to Paula Myo. I hope all that crap is linked back to something other than just Adam and there is a reason for me reading the court stuff when there is just hardcore nerdery that I'm supposed to be enjoying.

toggletoggle post by largefreakatzero at Oct 17,2013 9:28am
I had taken a break, but picked it back up last night. 75% through.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 17,2013 9:35am
51%. I love all the geekiness.

toggletoggle post by largefreakatzero at Oct 17,2013 9:44am
I want to be wetwired.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 17,2013 10:46am
Anyone I've seen thus far just has OC Tattoos. I don't get the best impression of how OC Tattoos look. I just dislike Paula Myo

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 24,2015 5:07pm
88% through this book.

toggletoggle post by largefreakatzero at Jul 24,2015 7:22pm
Dude you started it 2 years ago.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 28,2015 2:08pm
yeah, read 40% in the past few weeks. I'm a slow reader. I started right into Judas Cradle. This was like almost 1000 pages!

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 4,2016 11:25am
25% through Judas Cradle. The writing in the sex scene is awful....

toggletoggle post by Mark_R at May 4,2016 11:33am
I ended up re-reading the first a few months after this thread was started. It was about as good as I remembered.
