Like an unexpected hot breath on the back of your neck, the opening strains of Weapon’s Embers and Revelations quickens your heartbeat and makes your hair stand on end. Suddenly the tone shifts as layered riffs and rough blackened growls of vocalist Vetis Monarch come into play.
Just from the first minute of the first track,”The First Witnesses Of Lucifer”, it’s clear Weapon’s inaugural release on Relapse holds back nothing, as these Canadian blackened death metallers follow through and wallop their way through the remaining seven tracks.
