Boston-based blog Nefarious Realm premieres new music today from fellow Massachusetts natives Hivesmasher as part of "BMA Week", a week devoted to Black Market Activities and the label's fall releases. Stream Hivesmasher's "The Shit Waltz" exclusively on Nefarious Realm.
Hivesmasher's debut for BMA, Gutter Choir hits stores October 23rd. MetalSucks describes it as "furious tongue-in-cheek chug-grind in the style of Wormrot and Graf Orlock... Seventeen bursts of gross-out chaos that manage to sound strung-out, sloppy, chaotic, and yet satisfyingly technical." The album features guest vocals from The Red Chord frontman and Black Market Activities boss Guy Kozowyk, as well as Fit For an Autopsy/Premonitions of War vocalist Nate Johnson.
The band's own description of their sound: "a giant middle finger waved in the world's general direction".
