http://got-djent.com/article/meshuggah-new-track-intentionally-leaked

Could always be a fake, but it sounds like them to me. Very slow tune but I dig it, sounds like it could be from Nothing.

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Feb 9,2012 5:39pm
cant listen on new work computer. boo.

toggletoggle post by arktouros at Feb 9,2012 5:57pm
dig it

toggletoggle post by blue  at Feb 9,2012 7:41pm
another year passes by, another year i dont give a fuck about meshuggah. its amazing to think i havent cared about anything this band has done since 'chaosphere'

toggletoggle post by yummy at Feb 9,2012 7:57pm
You like the Deftones...

I didn't care for Nothing in the slightest bit. I and Catch 33 were alright. But Obzen is very good.

toggletoggle post by MikeOv at Feb 9,2012 9:18pm
It's unmistakably Meshuggah, but at first listen I thought it was a bit stagnant. It's definitely growing on me with repeated listens. Meshuggah never fails to deliver.

toggletoggle post by DestroyYouAlot  at Feb 9,2012 9:26pm
Is this the one where it sounds like every track on a Disturbed CD playing simultaneously?

... oh, wait.

toggletoggle post by trioxin_245  at Feb 9,2012 9:51pm
not bad, but wouldn't buy

toggletoggle post by sean  at Feb 9,2012 11:40pm edited Feb 9,2012 11:41pm
I say fake. It's too relaxed, just like a copy cat band

toggletoggle post by Spaldino at Feb 10,2012 12:42am
it might be that i am really high, because i totally am, but this song sounds incredibly powerful and complex... texture wise. it sounds like the perfect soundtrack to a rally crash montage.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Feb 10,2012 7:18am
i haven't heard it, but Meshuggah has failed to disappoint me yet.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 10,2012 8:46am
Nothing sucked. I hate nu-metal-meshuggah.

toggletoggle post by arktouros at Feb 10,2012 8:57am
it's definitely the real band. nothing ruled. all their material is nu-metal.

Sick.

toggletoggle post by RustyPS  at Feb 10,2012 10:38am
I actually liked Nothing...Catch 33 was the one that I thought sucked

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Feb 10,2012 10:54am
nothing was the most boring album i ever heard

toggletoggle post by BlackoutRick at Feb 10,2012 11:53am
I is the best for their newer stuff imo.

ya my only issue with that is the programmed drums. i'm sure there is a good reason for it but i just do not know what that is.

toggletoggle post by arktouros at Feb 10,2012 12:13pm
nothing, obzen, catch 33, all programmed drums.

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Feb 10,2012 12:14pm
really? i was pretty sure obzen was recorded drums. oh well i'm dumb and only know things about nu metal bands... oh wait

toggletoggle post by arktouros at Feb 10,2012 12:16pm
that's how haake writes, obviously he plays that stuff live but writing off of programmed drums is how the band operates

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Feb 10,2012 12:18pm
this band uses aimbot and wallhack

toggletoggle post by DestroyYouAlot  at Feb 10,2012 12:26pm
At this point, Meshuggah is basically a touring advertisement for Drumkit From Hell.

The only programmed drums used on actual recordings were Catch 33 and the Nothing remaster. Basically whichever guitarist writes the song, also writes the drum patterns by programming them on a computer. Haake then learns those parts and records them.

toggletoggle post by Cher at Feb 10,2012 5:14pm
This song is ok..Hopefully rest of album is better.

toggletoggle post by narkybark   at Feb 10,2012 5:25pm
ride a battleship cannon about it

toggletoggle post by MikeOv at Feb 12,2012 2:50pm
Definitely feeling this song now. Can't wait for this record to drop.

toggletoggle post by yummy at Feb 12,2012 8:08pm
I like it too. Had to give it a couple days. It's hard to tell what to expect from an album after only one song.

toggletoggle post by narkybark   at Feb 17,2012 1:55pm

bennyhillifier

Looks like another tune dropped... I wasn't expecting this, this is a toe-tapper.

toggletoggle post by FuckIsMySignature at Feb 17,2012 1:58pm
this i like ^

toggletoggle post by aegathis  at Feb 17,2012 2:00pm
Nothing has a few good riffs, other then that Id say that album really lives up to its name

toggletoggle post by arktourOs at Feb 17,2012 2:01pm
aaaagggghhhhhh YEAHHH.

toggletoggle post by yummy at Feb 17,2012 2:34pm
First listen, I don't care for it...really at all. Please don't let the entire album be an hour of that. I liked the other new song but wasn't blown away. Maybe it'll grow on me or I'll just wait 4 years again for them to add more strings to their guitars and blow my mind. I wonder what they would play if they wrote their songs together as a band...

toggletoggle post by josh_hates_you  at Feb 17,2012 2:37pm
The none EP was awesome. Never really got into anything else this band has ever done.

toggletoggle post by yummy at Feb 17,2012 2:57pm
None is probably my favorite. Maybe because it only has what like 5 songs on it? and they're all great. I like DEI and Chaosphere and dug Special Defects quite a bit so I may be anticipating that new album moreso than Meshuggah's.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Feb 17,2012 3:19pm
Catch 33 gets a lot of hate, but i thoroughly enjoy it. i can't judge that song above, some of their songs sound really out of place when played outside of the album. hopefully it lives up to ObZen, which was stellar.

toggletoggle post by Cher at Feb 17,2012 3:46pm
So far judging by these two tracks, this new album might not be that good unfortunately. Obzen blows these tracks put of the water so far...

toggletoggle post by Spaldino at Feb 17,2012 11:11pm
liking the new song too... tons of healthy groove. i wish i could play drums that well in any time signature like that...
