bennyhillifier Martin is a mentally disturbed loner who lives with his mother in a bleak housing project. He works the night shift as a security guard in an equally grim and foreboding underground parking complex. To escape his dreary existence, Martin loses himself in the fantasy world of the cult horror film The Human Centipede (First Sequence), fetishizing the meticulous surgical skills of the gifted Dr. Heiter, whose knowledge of the human gastrointestinal system inspires Martin to attempt the unthinkable.
Filmed in black and white, this gritty, grimy, gory, gluttonous sequel questions the enjoyment that people get out of watching these extreme horror films. Perhaps as much of an inditement on the culture of "torture porn" as A Serbian Film, Tom Six's follow up to his cult original delves further into the unimaginable territories of human endurance - both for the viewer as well as the subjects.
We're showing this as a midnite on Oct 14th & 15th as well as a regular run film at night (9PM time).
I saw it on VOD and it was awesome, very different from the first one. I might make the trip to see it in a theater just to see everyone else get queasy.
still surprised that no one (especially the girl sitting behind us) walked out of the movie. it's fair to say that it ruined her night. Also, I'm glad boston pretty much shuts down by 9pm. Parked it like a CSB.
