every band clearly rips off other bands and half the bands that deserve credit dont get credit like half the bands that do so bands that receive it will not understand why bands that dont receive the credit have more reasons to be original than copy the bigger bands they copy. give me thoughts on this subject as it seems theres lack of original music around here.

Umm... what signed band do we sound exactly like? Trying to make a direct one-to-one comparison with our band and any other is a giant fail, good luck with that one.
At this point in time, the argument can be made that while bands can try and do original music, there really aren't a lot of styles that haven't been done. Everyone is going to sound like someone else, even the MOST original bands still sound somewhat like others, just due to the exponentially growing sheer volume of people writting music every year. If this is bothering you, maybe you need to get into different kinds of music.... Of course you don't HAVE to let it bother you... when you get records, you should try and take it for what it is, instead of trying to compare it to other stuff you may or may not like. If you can separate yourself from that, then maybe you'll realize that every band has their own distinctive emotional feel (or lack thereof), and that it's ok to sound like others.
