Who gets it, and what is your weapon of choice?

toggletoggle post by Boozegood at Feb 1,2011 1:09am
I need some heavier artillery that is not 24 hour relief. I like to attack when the onslaught comes, one at a time.

if you take a teaspoon of vinegar it actually clears it up, rather than providing a temporary solution. look it up

Is this for real? Because I love pickle juice.

If the vinegar solution is correct, then I would say yes.

My solution is to say, "ow, I have heartburn," and then get distracted by something else. Probably hot wings.

no way is an acid going to stop and acid problem.

toggletoggle post by amorok666 at Feb 1,2011 2:00am
Normally when I get I just endure it cuz I'm too lazy to walk to cvs. Next time I'm trying the pickle juice thing.

this is correct. apple cider vinegar is the best, but you have to get the organic stuff with the mushy sediment, not the store bought "dead" vinegar. i mean vinegar will help in any form, but this is especially good for you.

generic Prilosec, aka OMEPRAZOLE khed. I had diverticulitis a few years ago and have been taking Omep ever since. It's for cronic heartburn and acid reflux

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 1,2011 8:31am
Glad vinegar works for some people, but if you looks it is fake.

toggletoggle post by Creepy - O‘s at Feb 1,2011 8:44am

For me, it is all about the Omerprazole -- Prilosec. Stuff works. (Take it before you eat). If you are looking for immediate acute relief, there is some chewable antacid at Wholefoods that works better than Rolaids, Tums for me.

The Baking soda thing makes sense (at least chemically) since it is alkaline and would neutralize acid.
