I'm partial to 'Telepathic With The Deceased'. Dark as hell. I like the stuff on the Leviathan split as well.

my favorite album was the first one i heard.. the gate through bloodstained mirrors demo. that suicide in dark serenity song is awesome. but i think the overall best record he put out was to violate the oblivious. loved it when it came out, but i'll be blunt: kind of starting losing interest in xasthur after that album and the split with nortt. the new album sounds great though, it's a little different. i need to listen to it more.

BORING BORING BORING BORING

Thanks DYA, you seem to reiterate the fact (and also agree) that there's a high percentage of first releases of bands that are usually their best.
That demo wasn't Xasthurs first, though. I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong) Xasthurs early demos were released by that label from Pittsfield MA. The name escapes me at the moment, but I got a demo from him back in the day. Wax-sealed with his own stamp. Fucking killer. Gotta find it

Haha, just yanking yer chain, dude. It's one of those things that everybody denies but is totally true 90% of the time, I can just always count on you to point it out when discussing any band, ever. LOL

First album is always the best. ALWAYS.
