Just another reason why 495 is the worst highway in Massachusetts, next to the Pike.

95 is by far the WORST highway for traffic next to route 3 during rush hour.

Yes, but 495 always takes me the longest route possible to wherever I'm going. And it's boring as hell to drive on.

yea 495 sucks especially at the lowell connector and down at the 95 connector during rush hour.

if so that shit is the worst during the holidays on the weekends, all the fucking mall traffic and I just want to get to the exit to go to NH!

also, I must put in that route 1 is faaaaarrr worse on a workday at rush hour as no one lets you in.

95 bottleneck split at Mass Pike during rush hour gives me a headache to think about. 8-10 lanes condensed into 2.5 lanes = FAIL.

the 93 bottle neck into NH on a friday in a snowstorm is the absolute worst. That and 95N at the hampton tolls on a hot friday afternoon in the summer. Now that the hampton tolls are faster, the traffice backs up starting in maine and goes all the way through nh onto 495... that's like 20 miles of traffic.

The worst traffic I was ever in was one of the hug snow storms where I spent over an hour in my car trying to get out of my parking lot at work. I ended up just going back inside and then leaving 4hrs later and it still took me an hour and a half to get home. That was the storm where all the snow plows were stuck in the traffic.

I have to drive to NJ tomorrow. Multiple highways of suck are in my future.

whats up with 495 and ridiculous shit happening on it? two years ago my brother and i were stuck for hours after a plane decided to land on it. it sucked to because we were probably a mile away from where the plane landed, also in between exits. that nice little sweet spot where you're fucked.

yeah, I used to drive 495 daily. Every couple of months there would be a series of cars upside down in trees in the median.
