To make a long story short, a promoter in CT confirmed for the band Urn that they would be playing Metal Thursday on September 23rd as part of their upcoming tour, even though I told him multiple times that there is no Metal Thursday on September 23rd. He contacted me via myspace a couple of months ago, never said who the band was, and never responded after I told him again that there was no show on that date. Two months later, we got a message from Urn attempting to verify that they were confirmed for a show that doesn't exist. I really, really, really HATE it when stuff like this happens to bands.

This sucks for them because they're coming all the way from Chicago to play just 5 shows in the Northeast... one of which was the non-existent MT this promoter promised them. They haven't played in this part of the country since 2003, and they really need that date.

Unfortunately, we can't just create an extra Metal Thursday for them because Ralph's already has another show booked on 9/23. I'm hoping that someone will be able to help them out... either a promoter who has a spot for them, or maybe even some other bands who are motivated to put together a show. turns out eternal embrace broke up earlier this month. So i asked sorrowseed instead.
