Saying metal is going down a dark path because you just watched a music video on demand is like saying music is going down a dark path because you just watched MTV or listened to the local top 40 station.

I really thought this was going another direction. I thought this thread was going to be about one of those "bandstand" rock bands that play the bandstand in your town square every weekend during the summer.

max the bass player is chill, met him at sexcrement the other night. He likes good metal. Not huge on Despised Icon though, primarily due to the vocalists.

I fail to understand the comparison...there are many ways one could have seen this video...christ, suffocation has videos on-demand..what I was referring to is the potential formation of a genre of hip hop death metal. Crooked hats, sweater vests, african american manorisms and imagery. "Death Hop" must be destroyed!!!

I would be surprised if a band called "Nigga Corpse" soon emerges and Hip Hop influenced death metal hits the ground running as a genre for white inner-city minority youth

although if a band called "Ohsnapatory" surfaced.....I would have to check it out......what other Hip Hop Death Metal names can you think of?
