This was in nat geo last month. They also found butter, etc. It was essentially a 100 year old time capsule. Pretty cool... Look at the pics.

I guess the company in Scotland is trying to analyze the recipe from samples, so look forward to some Shackleton brand whiskey in the future.

Archaeology is badass, watched this show on NAT GEO about them finding all these artifacts from 1000s of years ago because of global climate change causing the glaciers to melt in Alaska...o wait, global climate change isn't real...the show must be a hoax.

I like reading about OOParts. Out of place artifacts.

Make a thread on those or you're a flat footed animal eating caveman.

flatfooted caveman?

I know 100year old whiskey SOUNDS good... but whiskey aging in the bottle doesn't really do that much. It's the aging in the wooden cask that mellows it, and adds characteristics.

global climate change is certainly real. however, we are not completely responsible for it. i believe that is debate you are refering to.

Like I said before, we have no way of proving it was us or nature more, I think it's a little of both, but more nature's fault.

But no, I seriously know tons of people who believe the planet is staying the same, the same people who believe humans lived with dinosaurs 3000 years ago...there's a lot of 40years old + people like that in MA, and NH

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Feb 8,2010 10:29pm
Dinosaurs didn't exist until after WWII.

exactly, whiskey doesn't age at all in a bottle. however anything will change over 100 years.

and in a bottle, probably for the worst.
