Disengaged and Summit should play together sometime, because they stand for the exact opposite things. |
|
Cattle will implode because of this show. |

I forgot to mention that the show starts @ noon |
|
Don't make Arsonata play earlier on, that would be a shitty last show spot. Let them go out with a bang near the end. |

ok now a couple people brought it to my attention that when you put the address on mapquest or any other site to try and get directions that it wont work. So for directions put washington st as your destination cause washington st turns into n. industrial plains parkway. Once on washington just follow down it and look for a sign that says commerce park on your right. The show is in the building in the far back right
I'm gonna be heading out there early to put up signs for when you get off of the w. cross parkway 5-15. So just follow the signs |
|
Rev: most likely. We'll talk about it tonight at the CB. |

Or put Plains Industrial Rd, with no N. Worked for me on RandMcNally.com. |
|
you are so randmcnally...
I'm driving down with ascendancy.
oooooh... who want's a body massage! |
|
yeah he has sent me RandMcNally lilnks before ..good directions..i should use that site more often.
anyhow, the_rev took out the trash and left =) |
|
198 N. Plains Industrial Road
wallingford, CT
it's road not parkway...just to clear up some confusion. |
|
i wonder if it's running behind? |
|
I'm back.. but my net connection is f'd up again.
arg!
cujo: his laptop was broken so instead, he just spun some digital hardcore. I like dh, but I've been out of that form of music for a while. it wasn't like nyc speedcore or french... but it sounded like the stuff that influenced alec empire and the dhr movement, you know, stuff from germany.
summit: they had a lot of good trash parts that really ripped. I also believe in one of the mesage they gave about girls "dying to be thin". I'm really hard on clean vocals so most of them did nothing for me. they weren't suppose to be the first band to plaay.. but things happen.
ascendancy: Was hoping they could go on later in the day, but it didn't happen. they had a sizable crowd (though if you notice there are a lot of people outside smoking instead of enjoying the onslaught. Note: smoking is worse than clubbing baby seals.) the hall was a little to open for their sound to come off well. too much room for echos. sucks when you cna be technically great and be defeated by a room.
marybeth: someone showed up late... they were suppose to be on first, but they showed late so they went on later. they sounded better this time. I think they are coming together better as a whole. the singing sound like he was trying to be Angel (ex. all my sins) one minute and joey (in dire need) the next. it sort of came out like a zao-ish dry scream.
arsonata: man, talk about the room defeating your sound. these guys had so many interesting riffs at last wednesday's show, but this time, all the reverb off the walls made it so you couldn't tell anything apart. turning all the melodic parts in just jug-jugs and break downs. for their "last show" this fell short. I think they shouldplay some place with a better sound set up and then call it quits.
legia: featuring ginni (ex. light is the language) on bass, this band rocked. I like them a lot, even the "clean" singing parts. it reminded me a little of since the flood if they did a metalcore band. the singer made crazy faces too.
terminally, your aborted ghost: probably the best performer and best crowd response of the night. you could tell the audience was both blown away and confused all at once. they played pretty tight (though they might disagree). I'm sure they picked up some new fans here.
held under: their crowd response was next to nothing. tt seems the people in the house didn't want to listen to some metalgeads playing. At this point, I was starting to feel very sick from all the smoke and wanted to sit down. I got up in their grills to get a few shots though. they reminded me a bit of shadows fall.
what weapons bring war: they set seemed very very short. they played pretty intensely. their was no bass-throwing or massive injuries. the rossrossity was set at 11 I think.
fight night: a quick set from them. they "swear to god" that they will have a bassplayer next show.. I don't know if that is a hint that we are suppose to pick up on...
|
|
oohh you un-anonymoused yerself |
|
the show was alot of fun. legia played well along with marybeth. but did anyone catch that one kid with the camo shirt? "YOU got a problem with my dance?" hahaha that kid was a huge fag .good show |
|
it was a blast. i was thoroughly impressed by ascendancy and tyag. good show. |
|
spaldino dropping that kid that started to fight was priceless... |
|
omg! I totally forgot about that kid in the tight rolled camo belly shirt...
he was doing interpretive dance in the pit.. and then I think he kicked "his boy" in the face...
and when people were trying to deal with that he said "it's ok, it's ok. I had a dream about this last night"
I remember looking at someone and then said "you heard that? good, I'm glad I'm not the only one" |
|
the_reverend said: spaldino dropping that kid that started to fight was priceless... |
i didnt see him mosh the rest of the night after that. |
|
ohh i guess i should chec out pics |
|
This show was pretty cool and I enjoyed myself for the most part. Summit was way better than the time I saw them at Sick as Sin fest. It's a shame Arsonata had to break up cause a few of their riffs really hit me, I was quite impressed nonetheless. Terminally, kicked ass and they need to stop convincing themselves they sucked :p, definately the best set I've seen them play. What Weapons Bring War, sounded awesome and it was great to see Ross, the man the myth the legend in action for my first time. John of WWBW is a soilder, Cheers dude!
Spalding the regulatah,
The Wendy's over the tracks was nice. This place has some potential, I won't mind driving down for another show there. I wouldn't mind bringing my hibatchi down there and grilling up some food, you know, for the kids. |
