Watched The Royal Tenenbaums last night for the first time in a very loooong time. It completes my latest round of Wes Anderson movie-watching. I'm pretty excited for Fantastic Mr. Fox.

For me, from best to worst(for real feature length moves):
Life Aquatic
Darjeeling Limited
Royal Tenenbaums
Rushmore
Bottle Rocket

Something about this guy's movies make me angry. But then Bill Murray comes on the screen and fixes everything.

Life Aquatic rules. This guy is good at making movies about ridiculous things happen around normal boring people. I haven't seen Darjeeling Limited yet, gotta get on that.

People were really hard on Life Aquatic. I thought it was a solid film. For me it goes:

Royal Tennebaums, Rushmore, Life Aquatic, Darjeeling, and I've actually never seen Bottle Rocket.

I didn't like Bottle Rocket at all. For me, it's way more out there than his other films. That's really really out there.

Rushmore was great. Saw that in the theater

That was a question. This is an affirmation.

my favorite wes anderson movie is rushmore. i named my fantasy hockey team the grover cleveland owls last year in honor of this movie.

My main problem with Rushmore is that I felt so embarrassed for Schwartzmann the whole time. I love that Wes Anderson movies evoke real emotions but sometimes it's just too much haha.

Embarrassed for him? Dude saved Latin. What did you ever do?

Haha, I just mean on a scene by scene basis.

Royal Tenenbaums is it for me. Paul Anderson is better IMO.
