New site? Maybe some day.

You only have to sell 75 tickets at $20 a pop! And you can pay them back in installments! You only have to give them certain amounts of money by a certain date! This is legit! |
"Upon signing an agreement and receiving the tickets all bands must honor there commitment in full with liability if they do not so. Therefore a deposit is due of $250. Then a payment is due on September 20th 2009 of $500, with the next payment due October 15th 2009 of $500, and a remaining final payment of $250 is due on November 5th 2009." |

Improper grammar and spelling in a NEC contract? It's more likely than you think. |
wow! 75 tix? these guys are gonna make a shit load of money of the local bands. Imagine what the prize actually costs them? |
It doesn't say anywhere how many bands there are supposed to be in this "battle". If it's 20 bands, they've made $30,000. If it's 30 bands, $45,000. 30 bands is not hard to pull off at Mill St. Brews/ADC in Southbridge. |
For the $1500 you're essentially handing over to the promoter you could put a down payment on a real van. |
Dodge Nitro Battle of The Bands has 4 friends.
it works this way... they hire a band to win and give them performance training and production. The band sucks but the set is tight... I seen it before so they "win" and their investment is much smaller |
The girl I've been seeing the past two weeks works for Bernie. Kinda. She helps him by selling tickets to shows and shit and she gets paid for it, she doesn't have a job so she needs it. but I'm gonna laugh when he finds out who I am and remembers that he pretty much banned me from every venue/club he books at. I don't care, I'll kick him in the face anyway. |

Call WAAF if you want too, and ask them how legit this is. This is the most legit Battle of the Bands you will ever find. We have put in so many safeguards to insure that all is on the up, and up!
The Winner will walk away with a 2009 Dodge Nitro + New Trailer, and a 2 week national tour. They will own everything outright. I think that’s a little bit better than taking the $1,500 and putting a down payment, and then have to make payments for five years! You still will also need to buy a trailer!
New England Concerts is hiring all the bands. The event is sponsored by Us, The Dodge Dealer, WAAF RADIO, and Trailer Manufacturing Inc.
There will be no surprise band, and there will be no bands associated with any of the sponsors. New England Concerts gets paid by us, not on the profit of the show. We determined the price, and the system of scoring. Again we hired New England Concerts!
This is a magnificent opportunity for all local bands!

i'm gonna hold you to that |
We dont anyone ove at New england concerts, so kick to whom you want to kick i guess. I work as an advertisment and promotional manager for one of the Dodge dealers that is associated with this event. Apologize for not giving name, just dont need the phone to ring off the hook here. |

I'm assuming you're not familiar with the business of local music, and definitely not familiar with the business of NEC and how they've always had local bands foot the bill for any show they've ever had.
Wreckoning got an e-mail one time, asking us if we wanted to sell 50 tickets to open for Till We Die at Tammany Hall in Worcester, our hometown. No thanks. We can actually draw there. Does TWD wanna sell 50 tickets to open for us? Of course not. |
no battle of the bands is ever legit. ever. |
They used to be. But then you had to sell x amount of tickets. No band in a pay-to-play battle has ever won if they didn't sell the most tickets. |
Well you all have opened my eyes. I am somewhat familiar with the local scene but I will admit not as much as I would like! I will pass on the information to my boss about the concerns of New England Concerts. Thank You. I assure you though that this battle is for real, how I understand it, is that all bands have to sell the same amount of tickets, so it will have nothing to do with sales. |
I think this is legit. Give them $1500.00, if your good, you win, then sell the car and trailer and make more money. |
SKULLTOBOGGAN FOR THE WIN - MARK MY WORDS |
Nothing about NEC is legit. |

30 of the most amazing bands ever can each give you $1500 and spend hours upon hours doing the promoter's job for him, but only one of the bands can win. Typically, it's the band with the most drinking buddies. |
i think in order for a "battle of the bands" to be legitimate the contest should involve the use of mideval warfare. |
I think in order for NEC to be legit, they need to stop making bands be their bitches. |
