The Milo thing was CRAZY and kind of terrifying. But I watched that after. I didn't see the actual Microsoft conference.

i don't like that Xbox idea, the controller keeps you connected to the game. i wouldn't be able to pay attention. Wii keeps me focused because of the controller, granted its motion based but i have something to hold on to and work with.

Been keeping an eye on this. I cannot fucking wait for Alan Wake and finally a MGS game for 360! AVP is looking pretty sweet as well.

Come on. Golden Sun was fucking SICK. I'm getting a DS just for that. But there are like 20 million other games I missed. I'm going to get Chrono Trigger again so I can play it without an emulator. And then The World Ends With You. I can't wait to have $170 free.

Don't get me wrong, I love both Golden Suns for GBA, but Shining Force for Genesis (unmistakenly programmed by the same dudes due to the similar style) is perhaps one of the greatest games of all time! They released 3 episodes of Shining Force III for Saturn but only released 1 episode in America.

Caught some of Nintendo's press conference. Wasn't terribly impressed aside from the precision motion control they're adding to the wiimotes. The only problem I can see is that it will make the games a hell of a lot harder to enjoy due to them requiring so much more accuracy.

the newest system I currently own is a PS1. I've played a lot of the newer titles for 360, PS3 and the like but have not kept up. Ridiculous how many titles there are now.. and how many FPSs there are these days.

Never played nine. Played 8 years ago but only 3/4 of the way through. I LOVED FFX. FFXII was pretty cool. I want to play FF7 again but my disc is scratched. I may have misheard but I think they're rereleasing FF7 for PS3 but I don't know if it's updated or anything.

A little off topic but somewhat related. Martins, did you hear that SquareEnix suspended the production of the fan-made direct sequal to Chrono Trigger? They were using the same sprites/music, etc from SNES and it was 99% complete until Square stepped in.

Let me reword: SquareEnix threatened them due to it not being licensed by them and approved. Not suspended the production; they had nothing to do with it.

Yeah I did. I spent like 2 hours yesterday watching video of it. It looks like it would have been good. But it could mean a few things, namely that they are planning to make one of their own or that they are going to make a "sequel" to Chrono Cross which is in my top 5 games ever. There is literally so much they could do with the Chrono moniker because of all the alternate timelines and dimensions that were created as a result of the events in Trigger.

It looked really cool. They implemented more functionality that the new Wiimote it seems. Maybe they just had a better demo. I didn't see the Microsoft Natal thing yet though.

Well I'm excited for it. It was one of the first games I played on PS3 and I actually had a lot of fun playing it. It's no masterpiece but right now any game that doesn't suck on PS3, I'm cool with.

Downloading FFVII right now. So glad I'll get to replay it after all these years. I never beat it. It was my first RPG and I had no idea what I was doing.

That Resident Evil: The Dark Side Chronicles is just a remark of RE2 which was a bad ass game BUT it's the same exact thing essentially.

haha, maybe that's why we have such a difference in opinions on FFs. FFVII was many years after the nintendo and SNES releases, which I grew up on.

Well you're at least 50 years older than me and so there's definitely a generation gap. I most DEFINITELY appreciate 8/16-bit gaming because once I gave up on FFVII (maybe I scratched my disk up in anger?) and found emulators, I was playing NES and SNES games like it was nobody's business. Chrono Trigger literally blew my mind. It fellated my mind. I am of the firm belief that no one makes RPGs like the SNES era RPGs anymore. Still, I need an RPG fix so I get excited for anything that comes out that doesn't suck and Final Fantasy is pretty much undefeated in RPGness.
