there are a number of things wrong with this state.

MBTA is one of them. shit is falling apart. drivers text while 200 people depends on them.
bridges are crumbling, roads are riddled with potholes.
of course they're going to fuck over everyone that lives in this state. it's funny because boston is known as the Athens of America - a center of education, hospitals, knowledge and power.

1) this is by percentage of income, so residents of high-cost-of-living states like IL and MA will pay more in absolute dollars because the average incomes are higher.
2) in MA, graduated/progressive taxation is actually unconstitutional; people who make less money only pay less taxes due to credits/rebates/deductions that can get complicated and arcane to actually work out.

Mass will always vote Dem, and Mass will always suffer the consequences and bitch about it later.

I wish that state would just float off of the mainland and be the idiot island that it acts like now.

If people want to start making a change, start from the bottom up in the state. I've always shopped in NH. Other than gas/little things I can't think of one occurrence where I've purchased something of value in Massachusetts. It also helps that I border Hollis.

All the southern NH towns like Salem, Nashua and Rochester (where I live) is seeing more and more MA people every year. There's not a day that goes by I don't see a MA license plate.

NH residents have seen MA license plates ever since its been cheaper to shop up there. Nothing really to complain about. I see more NH plates than MA plates in Burlington where I work.

all subways in boston were down this morning due to a power failure. there were about 10 people here that had to walk from all over.

also, LAZ parking failed to see that I paid my 5 dollars for parking yesterday, and billed me again.

Yea the mbta can be quite frustrating. They're always talking about new and exciting changes to help the travelers but I haven't seen anything yet. The only part of the mbta that actually fulfills its duty is the commuter rail.
