after you learn about all the nasty illnesses you can get from just a speck of feces(Pee included) on your hand, the 45seconds to wash doesn't seem like so much.

true, but for 28 years i've been doing it one way with no problems. i wash my hands every time i take a shit, but i only rinse them off if i take a leak and get a few shake-off droplets on my hand. i worked in food for many years, and i washed my hands there, but i'm comfortable with keeping my immune system on its toes.
