here now. raced down and caught W4W's last part of their set. the room has plenty of people (and plenty of mohawks) in it now, but they all stood 50 feet from the stage and only seemed to care when W4W played crucified. still, I guess it's early. all the old guys are probably still in bed and sore from last night/yesterday.
dogfight us just finished up. their set was good, but the crowd was just standing there. the singer made the best decision by going into the crowd. their last song was a cover of teenage wasteland. they pulled everyone from around the venue to the front of the stage. that lasted until the end of the song when it turned into a pit.
for the worse... wow... that was all that I hope it would be and more. first off, it's been about 2 years since I saw their last show at welfare records (anchors up). they played for 30 minutes and then busted out anothedr song that wasn't on the list. im pretty sure that no other band tonight will top that set. the crowd was completely insane for them. no place was safe from 200lb skins. it's a good thing no member of this band has an ego cause the reaction they got would have swelled anyones head. I saw american night on their set list, but didn't think it could possibly be the bruisers. of course it was. that ruled. this totally was worth getting up early and seeing. oh, they have a new guitarist and played 2 new songs. what an awesome afternoon. all those not here are idiots.
