not gonna lie i'll probably be there too. my buddy is a huge melvins fan and will probably take me along.

the thought of seeing Brutal Truth and the Melvins within a week of each other gives me a tingly feeling in my nether region

as it should. that brutal truth show is going to be off the wall.

ugh May is going to kill me.

Guess this answers my question about metal shows at the Paradise! hehe

ehhhhh, kinda. Melvins has a bigger appeal than most metal bands. And I wouldn't call them metal.

THE MELVINS are turning twenty five and marking the occasion with a group of celebratory shows set for mid-May in New York, Boston, Chicago and Austin.

The four shows will be an “evening with” the band and feature a first set with the original line-up of Buzz Osborne, Dale Crover (on bass) and original drummer Mike Dillard. For the second set Buzz, Dale and Trevor Dunn (bass player for Fantomas, MadLove, Mr. Bungle) will perform Houdini in its entirety.

“We’re living on borrowed time.” explained Buzz. “When the Melvins started I never expected to actually be ALIVE for 25 more years.”

May 15 - New York, NY @ Webster Hall

So, the first set, with the original lineup, that will be like mostly Gluey Porch Treatments stuff??? I've seen Melvins a billion times going back to the Houdini tour and they dont' play much from that. Gluey Porch Treatments fucking rules!!. I may have to go to this if I'm back by then.

seriously, that and houdini are (IMO) th only essential Melvins albums.
they have many good albums, but those are the only two necessities
