Patrick’s Pub will pay more than $14,000 over three years for violating federal copyright laws.
The pub broke the rules when bands played copywritten songs without paying royalties.
The pub plans to stage a fundraiser to help pay for the settlement."

tough economic times make people do some pretty mean-spirited shit. i accidentally applied for a job from the ASCAP and got an interview. i walked out after i found out what they wanted me to do. basically, as they described it, you go to watch bands and write down all non-original music that they play so that ASCAP member artists get royalties. |

I'm going to school in Nashville for music business next year and this one women described this internership. FUCK THAT. I'm not going to even step foot in an ASCAP building if i can avoid. Funny that the organization that organization has become. All started when they shut down more or less every tab website because you have to buy the tab book! |
