There are always a handful of random usernames at the top of the forum page that belong to people who don't actually post anything here. I'm cool with RTTP turning into Bridge 9, or worse... Lambgoat, but I kind of don't get what these folks are doing.

maybe it's a conspiracy to make the sites sponsers think it's doing well.... or it's people who are afraid of people hating them..... who cares?

i can say i originally made a username to post a show i beleive, but now i just reply on the fucking thing all day cuz im bored as shit at work.

You know, I woke up last night in mid-sentence mumbling something to my wife. this site is all about tough love. And i think most people don't get that until they meet someone from here in person.... Where everyone is pretty much a big hugable teddybear. I don't really post on other boards. I don't do "social" online stuff, i only use myspace to listen to other bands, my bands take care of ours, and i don't do facebook. I pretty much just look at drum excercises/videos, research what all the drugs i've done have done to my body (so i can try to help fix it) and fap fap fap....

The real question is, aside from the Baystate Rock forum, what music messageboard is the biggest antithesis of RTTP?

Personally, I don't think I've ever felt more ashamed in my internet career than the few posts I lowered myself to make on the Noise Board.

rttp is a big marketplace of ideas and free expression. you're not going to get knocked around as hard as you would on another site for presenting an alternative point of view (this has been more true recently, i can remember things being a lot worse a few years ago). taking on that perspective, i would have to say that lambgoat is the biggest antithesis to rttp.

drew- are you saying that a few years ago this board was less accepting? I wasn't on here then, i wouldn't know.

I think it was definitely less accepting a while back. We ran out of good drama/hilarious posts so I think everyone kind of relaxed a little.

it was funny as hell, then W3 started quoting it in other appropriate threads, and it has become legendary.

i don't post on any other boards, this is the only one where you can say anything or post anything and no one gives a shit. well occassionally someone will, but those are the people who take themselves seriously, and take life seriously. in which case they cannot be trusted.

This is the only board on which I feel at home. I occasionally post on Lambgoat and SMN, mainly to push Composted so I can get hilarious quiotes about how terrible we are.
