NEWS
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
UNEARTH on both Headbangers Ball and Ozzfest!
We are very pleased to announce that all the rumors are true. Unearth have been asked to play the Headbangers Ball tour and Ozzfest! The band will head out for the HBB tour right after completing work on their new album which is out on June 29, 2004. After they are done with the HBB dates they will head out to play the second stage at Ozzfest.

Here's what the band had to say:
Touring with Hatebreed, the most credible, hard working hardcore/metal band around today is something we have wanted to do since this bands inception. As a lot of you know, Damage Plan is the new band featuring Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrel of Pantera. For me personally it is a dream come true to tour with those guys. Pantera helped mold heavy music into what it is today and it is a complete honor to hit the road with those dudes.

Even though our next CD does not come out until June 29th, we just had to take this tour. We want to personally thank Jamey Jasta for all his help.

We will be playing a ton of new material on the tour to give everyone a sense of what this record will sound like.

We are completely stoked to be on this summers Ozzfest with such an amazing line up. The main stage has great bands such as Super Joint Ritual, Judas Priest, Slayer and of course Ozzy among others.

However, the second stage is a stage of friends and peers. Bleeding Through, God Forbid, Every Time I Die, Lamb of God, Hatebreed, Slipknot, Atreyu and Lacuna Coil.

Such an amazing time for us. Thank you to all who have supported us through the years. This summer will be an amazing era for metal and hardcore.

Stay tuned for more details...

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER Update from Brian:
"Due to unfortunate circumstances the Entombed tour has been cancelled, in addition we have had to cancel the Sun & Steel Festival in Florida. We are very sorry to all of our fans that were hoping to see us on the road this March. We are still scheduled to play the March Metal Meltdown in New Jersey, and we just got confirmation that we will be playing the Minnesota Metal Fest, so come down and check it out. It looks like we will be shooting a video for Funeral Thirst from Unhallowed. Jason Joseph will be directing the video; if you're not familiar he directed the Contagion video."

**Be sure to check out The Black Dahlia Murder when they hit the road in the end of March with label mates As I Lay Dying who will be co-headlining the tour with Every Time I Die and Scarlet who will be the opening band. Tour sponsored by AMP Magazine and LambGoat.com.

CATTLE DECAPITATION studio update & other news:
Cattle entered the studios this weekend (2/21) in Burbank, CA with Bill Metoyer (Slayer, WASP, and Six Feet Under) at the helm!!! We'll be recording all the drums starting this weekend and then heading down here in San Diego to the one and only Butthole Studios (aka Vegan Village of South Park) to record the rest of what will surely become 2004's veggie-gore epic, HUMANURE!!! The band promises that you will be upset, disturbed, disgusted and completely hooked by this material. Forget what you know. The shit hits the fans on June 15th, 2004!!!

The Metal Blade 20th Anniversary Party CD/DVD will finally be available March 23rd!!! Cattle Decapitation will have a live track featuring the infamous beef jerky mask singer Travis Ryan sported throughout the set, randomly spitting coagulated yogurt onto the helpless heaps in the front row. Also appearing at the show was Armored Saint, Engine, Lizzy Borden, Vehemence and who could forget the almighty Cannibal Corpse (a drunken Cattle Decap. vocalist joined them for the song "Skull Full Of Maggots")... This shall be quite interesting indeed.

The 31G DVD called "This Is Circumstantial Evidence" featuring the "old school" Cattle Decapitation lineup of Travis Ryan, David Astor and Gabe Serbian (now drumming for The Locust) will finally be released on April 5th! Includes more old ass footage of such artists as The Locust, Moving Units, Swing Kids, Orthrelm, The Get Hustle, The Blood Brothers and many more!!! Check out this old concert from Cattle's "Human Jerky/Homovore" era filmed by Strictly Amateur films.

Cattle Decapitation have confirmed a spot on the upcoming 31G Tribute To The Birthday Party, an early seminal punk/no wave band from the 80's... They will be covering the song "Sonny's Burning". Also featured on the comp will be The Locust, Some Girls, Numbers, and a ton of others... This will be interesting as it will be the first non-metal song ever covered by Cattle Decapitation. Killer. Dave would never have let this happen...hahaha... whoo hoo!!! This won't be happening until later this year, so don't hold your breath.

Cattle vocalist Travis Ryan will appear on a remix CD/LP of Justin from Locust/31G's old band The Crimson Curse. Travis' old solo electronic project The Mono Source completely destroys the song "Blood Thirsty Lust". It will be out sometime in March/April on King Of The Monsters.

There are more tour dates coming soon!!!!

"VARIOUS CRAP"- A RETROSPECTIVE OF DAVE BROCKIE'S WORK OPENS ON SATURDAY
MARCH 6TH AT 7 PM
Dave Brockie, (A.K.A. "Oderus Urungus") has been working in both visual and performance art for over 25 years, and soiling himself for over 30. As the frontman and one of the original creators of the theatrical Heavy Metal band,
GWAR, he has splattered and entertained millions of fans around the world. Now, for the first time ever, MF Gallery in New York City will be holding a retrospective of his work; including both old and new pieces, all-new performances and general insanity.

Dave Brockie describes the show in his own words:
"The show is called 'Various Crap' featuring Chippy and the Iso-Chamber. It will be a retrospective of one artist's work, (me!) from the earliest scribblings to the latest disaster. In addition to showing paintings, drawings and sculptures from the last 20 years; for the entire duration of the show, (March 6th through April 24th) I will be doing a performance art/endurance piece inside the dreaded the 'Iso-Chamber'. The night of the opening, (Saturday, March 6th at 7PM) there will be a performance by 'Chippy', my latest discovery, a half-man, half-chipmunk, half-beaver lounge entertainer. At the end of the evening's festivities I shall climb into the "Iso-Chamber", where I shall remain for the duration of the show, forced to sustain myself on only what I can order over the telephone. On Saturday, April 24th at 7 PM, I shall hopefully re-emerge from the 'Iso-Chamber', and declare myself even cooler than David Blaine, another famous DB that can suck my balls."

"Various Crap" will be on view at MF Gallery at 157 Rivington St. NYC (Between Clinton and Suffolk Sts.) from March 6th to April 24th. The Opening Party will be on Saturday March 6th at 7PM and the Closing Party will be on Saturday, April 24th at 7PM. Please call (917) 446-8681 for more information, or visit the gallery's website at http://www.mfgallery.net/

TORCHBEARER
Swedish Metal maniacs TORCHBEARER have finished the recordings to their debut album Yersinia Pestis! Having the final result in our hands we are pretty much impressed! TORCHBEARER is the mean bastard son of DARK FUNERAL, DEICIDE and HYPOCRISY, the perfect link between Death and Black Metal with hints of Thrash every now and then. Loads of great guitar riffs, catchy song structures and a high technical approach - pure quality delivered!

Yersinia Pestis is the first album of the collaboration between Cold Records from Sweden and Metal Blade Records. Cold Records is dedicated to discovering new talent of the Swedish Extreme Metal scene and together with the marketing and promotion power of Metal Blade we try to build up those bands to take over the world!

The album was recorded in the Black Lounge Studios in Sweden with producer Jonas Kjellgren (Carnal Forge, Centinex). Pär Johansson handled the artwork.

Yersinia Pestis will be released the May 4, 2004!

TORCHBEARER feature in their ranks musicians of highly acclaimed bands like Unmoored, Incapacity, Solar Dawn, Setherial and Satariel.

Line-up:

Christian Älvestam Guitars & Backing Vocals
Göran Johansson Guitars
Mikael Degerman Bass
Henrik Schönström Drums

Track listing Yersinia Pestis:
