New site? Maybe some day.
pretty cool to look at. It is out right now, and is the prime time to gaze at it. This won't happen again until2052, so go check it out. My son brought home the notice from school about it today. I know the Rev is into this stuff like me.
Here is a National Geographic article about it I just found.
http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2008/12/081201-jupiter-venus.html
Crazy to think that Jupiter & Venus are 500 million miles apart. |
why didn't my astronomy professor mention this today? |
Think you could actually snap a few pictures of this Rev?? |
Shit, I was wondering what was next to the moon. The more you know. |
yeah I saw it too driving home, cool! |
seeing as it already happened... and my time machine isn't ready for another 52 years... |
next time tell me about things before they happen |
I didn't get the notice until an hour before it happened. :(
Haste makes waste negro. |
just took a walk outside to see this, pretty cool! |
The moon is silouetted too. |
yeah that was really cool. |
"Skywatchers across the world are in for a celestial treat Monday night as two of the brightest naked-eye planets, Venus and Jupiter, join a thin crescent moon to create a brief "unhappy face" in the sky."
I think the unhappy face is appropriate considering how crappy things are in the world right now. Everything sucks so much that even the sky is making a frowny face. |
Oh Samantha, cheer up little camper! |
If anyone wants a nice telescope, I may be selling mine. |
let me know the price. i'm interested in one, but funds are limited. |
Okay, I'd have to go check it out. I haven't used it in a few years. It may need realligning. You can see the Andromeda Galaxy with it, although that's a hard one. You've got to really know what you're doing.
It's great for looking at the moon, though. |
hahahaha weird...I got out of work last night and looked up at the moon and thought...."where the fuck did those two stars come from?"
by the time time i got out of work to look at this...i could not find the moon. :( |
