New site? Maybe some day.
i guess the past few days have been the Walk and Rock for Change, i don't know because, well, the radio sucks ass, but last night on a ride home my roommate happened to stop on AAF at around 10:30, and they were playing the very last song for the benefit, and it was Emperor's Wrath of the Tyrant. some dude paid 300 bucks to have it played. i shit all over my balls. |
what? is that when they play metal?
haven't listened to AAF in centuries |
haha that rules
WAAF is terrible, i sometimes flip to it at work for everyone decent song they play, they play 20 limp bizkit songs. |
damn...that's a lot of dough for some emperor |
well you can pay to have any song you want played. the awful thing was that the very next song was Breaking Benjamin. |
it was funny, i wasn't even paying attention and when he turned on the station a huge alarm went off like "I KNOW THAT GUITAR TONE!!" |
that is absolutely amazing. I wish I could have been there to see all the retarded godsmack fans hating on that. |
last time I listened to WAAF, guy from the red chord was there and got them to play agoraphobic nosebleed. |
they must own a number of metal albums then? that is, unless they do it someway else. I think it would be hilarious if someone paid to have some sort of NS band play. They probably wouldn't even know |
Last time i listened to waaf was the walk for change a number of years ago...i think some super shitty local band called like stone orchid or something payed to have one of their songs played. |
that was a great moment for waaf. i feel as if i heard them play similar shit during past walk & rocks.
but yea tony, the 3 of us had like the same hilarious reaction. i grazed over the station real quick cuz they usually play garbage but we all heard the tinny minor chords and knew it automatically. |
I heard that Radical Dirtbiker was practicing nac-nac's to the dulcet tones of Godsmack when that Emperor crap came on over the Razer's soundsystem. Totally ruined RDB's concentration and he wiped out hard.
Maybe the same dude who gave $300 to ruin the kid's life will pitch in for a halo neck brace. |

yeah the faggy lead singer was spewing some nonsense on the air. what a goof. |
if you're gonna pay 300bucks for a song i'd make sure that shit was like 20 - 30 mins so i'd have to go with dopesmoker |
300 dollars can get you a fucking blumpkin. why on earth would somebody pay 300 bucks for emperor to be played live on FM radio |
If I was a DJ I wouldn't need a cash incentive to play Emperor. But it wouldn't hurt either. |

you are a weird dude. very weird indeed. |

Whenever they do this every year, it always seems like the people with a lot of money have HORRIBLE taste in music. I'd usually listen to AAF when they do this in the hopes of for once hearing some cool tunes, but then you get a lot of morons that either request stupid shit like country songs or people actually pay money to hear shit they already play 56859 times any given day.
The one ray of hope was the rare Cannibal Corpse song for $200 - 300 bucks or a guy one year that paid $1000 for Mike Hsu to play Reign in Blood front to back, which he did. It was a half hour of pure happy. |
