Last Sunday on my way to Da Lat i was harassed by a panhandler. But yeah, for the most part, downtown Worcester on a Sunday is a frightening place to be.

getting off the highway right at kelly square is the worst place in worcester for panhandlers

Worcester: A Great Place to Leave.

after all the shows @ "the space" and the old "espresso bar" in worchester, i really love the place. Those were two of my fav venues growing up. But yea, it's a hell hole.

right? i loved that place. Did you go to the first one, or the second one too? Or just the last one on James st.? I went to the second, and the last, but only heard about the first one. It was a little bit before my time.

Main South is a lot scarier than downtown. It starts to look like a 3rd world country after a while.

i just played a show with 7 hill psychos. 13 year old me would be all about it but i watched them with a serious sense of meh and nostalgia at the same time. it was weird.

Worcester is awesome, yeah it has some shit sections, but overall its a great city. my area is low income, but its not slummy by any means. it does have its fair share of trashy people, but everyone keeps to themselves. there are so many beautiful sections of Worcester, they have really cleaned things up in so many parts. the Salisbury section looks like a fairy tale land.

haha ya the whole WPI/Assumption area is like a completely differenent town. i miss living over there.

before i could drive i used to walk all the way through main south to get to the palladium. Kinda sketchy walking through being like 14, especially around midnight.

exactly. every city has some shit sections. there are some gorgeous parts of worcester, each part is pretty unique because of the '7 hills' and you go from urban to sparse areas all around. i've always enjoyed living here or the surrounding area. a few gem restaurants and bars. decent for shows, that's an opinion.
