The gold medal game aired in the early morning hours on Saturday, so I don't know how many caught it, but holy shit what a basketball game. Fucking awesome. Spain played incredibly and gave us a run for our money, but in the end USA would not be denied.

Dream Team > Redeem tream

Also... yeah, so? I'm as big of a fan of the 1992 Dream Team as anyone, but something those games lacked was any semblance of a close game. Team USA just steamrolled over absolutely every competitor.

The Gold Medal game in this Olympics was fucking epic. One for the ages.

The Dream Team was definitely better than the Redeem Team (tream).

The 92 Dream Team completely mauled everybody, and they were doing it half assed as well.

Yeah I completely agree that the 1992 USA Men's Basketball team is a better and more classic team than the 2008 Men's team. My point is, who cares?

I'm a fan of the game of basketball, and I'd rather be excited about the awesome accomplishment and the incredible play of the current Olympic team rather than make totally irrelevant comparisons to a team from 16 years ago.

The Redeem Team kick ass. They played as a team. They played beautifully. No one will ever touch the 1992 team, no shit.

Redeem t(r)eam was good, and congrats to them. I only stated that because wouldn't it be awesome if you could take the 1992 team and face them against today's team? Jordan vs. Kobe, etc. The problem with the Redeem tream is that they have WEAK bigmen compared to The Admiral, Ewing and so on. But, like you said, who cares?
It's just that most of the media has been asking this question since the 2008 tream was formed.

And yeah, I agree about the big dudes on the team. Only Chris Bosh really impressed me a great deal. Dwight Howard is awesome but still pretty inexperienced.
