they're finding more and more dinosaur fossils with feathers surrounding the skeleton, thus presuming that feathers were much more prevalent with dinosaurs than previously thought. (also reinforces the fact that they evolved into birds). The Museum of Science has a nice thing on it at the Omni Theater
they weren't covered in feathers. They had minimal layers of them on and around their arms.
But yea, if you look at a turkey (mostly a female one without the plume) they look like a damn dinosaur. or an ostrich - those things are awesome. Chocobos are a direct ancestor.
It's at the TD Banknorth Garden, and it was fucking awesome. My girlfriend scored us 2 free tickets too. The detail they put into it is amazing. Definitely worth it.
