Deathspell Omega isn't all that great, i mean they aren't bad, just not as wildly spectacular as they are made out to be.

Blut Aus Nord's "Memoria Vetusta" is out of this world.

Agree 100%... Blut Aus Nord is one of the few I like.

Deathspell Omega is all hype. Their newest one sounds like Dillinger Escape Plan. Scatterbrained horse shit.

there's a lot of good French BM bands.
But, there's a lot of bad ones too. But I wouldn't say that because USBM has some of the worst bands ever (bedroom stuff)

I love Deathspell Omega, Antaeus, Blut Aus Nord, Drastus, Mutiilation, Alcest, Arkhon Infaustus. The last two aren't exactly black metal...but you understand the connection.
