any ideas from anyone? interfaces?
I'm going to get a dell workstation as the computer, but I need to figure out what hardware to buy. right now, I have a 16 channel mackie and a 20 channel snake.

I think all of the interfaces are totally and stringently proprietary to ProTools, and vice versa.

yeah, I've been surfing their site. my friend develops the pro tools software and he was linking me there. I think the price tag for something I was looking for there creeped up to 10g's

that's the reason I never took the plunge. One little plug fucks up and then customer service says you have to buy a new version of the software.

I recall mac being the way to go with protools, or most recording in general. I'm waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay outa practice with all that shit now though.

Make sure you get the Matt Heafy Signature Series Auto Tune plug-in. Shit could make Isaac Hayes sound like Pat Benatar.
