I had just heard that the April 19 show has been cancelled there because Mark's Rock Club has closed down.

I had just gotten a bulletin from a friend's band that their April 19 show was cancelled because of it being closed and people who bought tickets off them (sorry saps) were getting their money refunded.

We should have a huge show to celebrate this.

This just in. My buddy emailed me this back:

"I don't know exactly what happened. The only reason I found out about it is because bands we were going to be playing with started advertising for a show at a different place on the same day. I emailed Bernie and he wrote back that Mark's is closed and he just bought some new place outside of haverhill that he's going to open up soon.

Anyhow, what I heard was that mark had something else in his life going on so he hired 3 people to take his place running mark's. Those new people were doing a wicked terrible job by way of neconcerts so they started looking at other locations to host the events (like goodtimes which is also slated to be shutdown and demolished).
