does anyone know how to make it so the macbook isn't so hot?
my computer shuts off randomly because of the heat. and i have the firmware patch

toggletoggle post by xanonymousx at Apr 8,2008 6:03pm
are there any programs that can help me control the fan speed of the macbook?

prop its ass end on as big a book as possible, tilt it down so the bottom has space to dispel heat

better yet get one of those notebook cooler fan platforms, you just prop it on there

also run a few applications as possible, less CPU less heat

the notebook cooler is available at any staples or office supply store, it is a WORTHWHILE EXPENSE (usually 20 bucks or so)

make sure it has at least a couple of embedded fans, and that it is ideally USB powered so you won't have to need an electrical outlet all the time

all mac books run hot and are prone to over heating. make sure you don't have anything blocking the fan.

Mine never gets hot unless I'm recording, downloading, and playing a game at the same time.
