I used outlook express from the 90's until 2007 and then switched to thunderbird and loved it... but I can't synch my inbox with my cellphone. so I'm thinking of switching to real outlook.
what do others use?

I just use yahoo mail

I never saw the need for an email client

well, I have over 8GB of emails going back to 1996 that I search through for contact info.

Try gmail. I believe the storage space is virtually unlimited.

I already missed my flu shot... skynet is not amused.
gmail doesn't have the space I need and I wouldn't be able to upload my current 8GB of emails.

make a contact list Mr. Database. 8gb of e-mails, especially back to 1996 seems pointless.

yes I do.
and a database to contain all the info that I search out include all the email that I got so then the database would be the size of all the emails plus all the overhead for the database. in my book, they call that throwing more crap on the fire.

jesus... my radio station folder is over 2GB.
ha! just emptying my trash and compacting my radio station folder and current inbox and I took 14GB to 10.4GB
