MEGADETH has now officially revealed the lineup for this year's North American edition of Gigantour, which will kick off mid-April and run through the end of May. Joining MEGADETH on the bill will be IN FLAMES, CHILDREN OF BODOM, JOB FOR A COWBOY and HIGH ON FIRE.

Commented MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine: "The breaking news is we are going to have five bands this year, instead of eight. The decision to drop it down from eight bands to five was based on timing, set lengths, stage sizes, unions, and most importantly allowing 'us' — the musicians — to deliver to 'you' — the fans — the best shows we can."

As previously reported, MEGADETH, LAMB OF GOD, OPETH and ARCH ENEMY are among the artists featured on the "Gigantour 2" DVD, due on April 22, 2008 via Image Entertainment. The disc — which was recorded in 2006 during the second installment of MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine's traveling heavy metal festival — will feature the following track listing:

01. THE SMASHUP - Rachel's Day
02. SANCTITY - Zeppo
03. INTO ETERNITY - Timeless Winter
04. OVERKILL - Thanks For Nothing
05. OVERKILL - Long Time Dying
06. ARCH ENEMY - Nemisis
07. ARCH ENEMY - We Will Rise / Bridge
08. OPETH - Window Pane
09. LAMB OF GOD - Vigil
10. LAMB OF GOD - Red Neck
11. LAMB OF GOD - Something To Die For
12. MEGADETH - Take No Prisoners
13. MEGADETH - The Scorpion
14. MEGADETH - Washington Is Next

The inaugural Gigantour, which also featured DREAM THEATER and FEAR FACTORY, spawned CD and DVD releases.

The "Gigantour" CD, which came out on August 22, 2006 sold around 500 copies in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

You'd think they'd put an actual metal song by Opeth on there, but they went with Windowpane...what the hell?

I am not seeing job for a cowboy again live.

i still might go to this, but the crowd for megadeth will be an infection of faggotry

thats why i seen them with sabbath and the casino.

I fucking hate these tours. a bunch of bands I don't like headlining over a couple of good bands who are invariably going to sound shitty in the arena setting and only play for 20 minutes anyway. I've never gone to gigantour and I don't plan on it.

OFFICIALLY

Way to disappoint me with a bump. Here I thought there was going to be a Gigantour in addition to the Rockstar Mayhem thing, so I could actually see Megadeth headlining. Douche.
