i can't recall many full episodes, but i remember a lot of random scenes. one of the funniest is Tom underwater with a breathing straw avoiding Jerry, and Jerry sends bees down the straw. the ensuing scream with bees in the mouth is hysterical.

No one appreciates Tom and Jerry anymore. Greatest television show ever.

Itchy and Scratchy

I miss old cartoons like that, you never see classic cartoons like Tom & Jerry or even the old Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies classics on TV anymore.
Cartoons have been mostly reduced to some computer animated garbage with incoherent babbling in place of cleverly constructed jokes. Plus overly sensitive P.C. morons have taken all the great slapstick violence out of cartoons so now just about every cartoon on TV is some squeaky clean, wholesome, humorless rubbish with a sappy message about making friends and being gay.

I get the Boomerang channel, so I get a good amount of Tom and Jerry, and a whole lotta Hanna Barbera stuff in general.

No Looney Tunes though. I guess they took out a lot of the "offensive/racist" whatnots that were in the old Looney Tunes, but put it back in for the DVDs, like the black housewife who "sounded too black" and all the anti-German/Japanese stuff from the war.

Also, they took out Speedy Gonzales cause it would offend Spanish folk, but the spanish folk complained because Speedy was the only Spanish thing on TV or something.

wow i thought i was the only one who still watches tom and jerry. Fucking love it. I havent seen that episode in a while, i was fucking dying watching this shit at work.

I think that it was probably one of the most violent shows ever made. That makes it even more valuable today.
