Out of all those hard to decide polls out there, I think this one is the hardest, because I decided not to put any really horrible bands on the list. For me they all rank like so:

1st: Tie - Opeth and Dimmu Borgir
2nd: Tie - Diabolical Masquerade, Immortal, Satyricon, Dissection
3rd: Children Of Bodom
4th: Tie - Arch Enemy and Mayhem
5th: Moonspell
6th: Morbid Angel

But, I can't pick Opeth and Dimmu, so Opeth it is.

I like Moonspell more than Morbid Angel, but I have heard very little Morbid Angel. I think that Irreligious is an excellent album, especially the song "Opium". But, their new album has very few high points and many low points, one of which being that in "Everything Invaded", when he says the word "invaded" it sounds like "intheytheth", which is quite annoying.

Wow, 8 for Opeth, one for COB? Heh heh, I guess I kind of arranged it so this would happen. I purposely avoided putting Iron Maiden and Carcass on the list. Hmmm... that gives me an idea...
