so, I need a new video camera I think, my LCD screen is dead and the internal video projector is on its way out (white lines going across it), it still records perfectly, but I cant see shit anymore, which is liberating in a sense, but also annoying
it is a video camera, not a still, so it might be completely different, but Im looking into sony, thats what I have now and I like it, Im also sticking with mini dv because I like to keep my masters, sony currently makes 5 mini dv camcorders, Im not a professional so the $3k one is out, but I dont want the bare bones cheap ass one either,
now come the tricky parts, the other three options are confusing me, the cheapest has 40x optical zoom, 2000x digital zoom, which seems way more than the more expensive ones that have 25x, and 10x optical and various digital (respectively), this makes no sense to me
my biggest issue with mine (other than being busted) is resolution, these others have no mega pixels(whatever that means), 1 mega pixel, and 3 mega pixels
and I have no idea what lux is when they talk about minimum illumination
or what the difference between these "imaging devices" 1/6" Advanced HAD™ CCD 1/3" Advanced HAD™ CCD
