wanna know specifics? i was getting told that they were getting a practice space and that it was going to be 100 bucks a month for us. (100 / 4 = 25, no big deal) then a week before this supposed practice space i was told that its 200 a month and i need to get 50 bucks or im out. but now i read "we practice mostly in waltham" and i dont know what to think. i live like 8 houses away from where dysentery "practices".

i dont have a job, oh well. my gear is at someone else's house that i cant get a fucking hold of, and even then its just the head. i have a cab and everything else at my house. i have a car that needs a battery and a tire. big whoop. battery is free and i have a tire. so i have a car.

i have an incredibly professional attitude about what the band should be doing and playing shows with barely over 10 minutes of material and with barely practicing isnt one of the ideas. i've been in a few bands, a couple with deals and i have seen and talked with countless others that are in bigger bands or that have been "around the block". why would i feel comfortable contributing financially to something like that? maybe if there were like more than 12 practices under our belts and we had more songs i wouldnt have any sort of doubts as to what is going on. the music is brutal, the dudes are cool, but seriously you need to get writing and practicing more before you go out and spend money on anything.

i love will a crap ton and i hope he doesnt think im talking shit because im not. the demeanor in which myspace bulletin came off was lame. no one else but will talked to me about any of this and its wicked cool when i get him telling me "im trying my best to stick up for you...". why not talk to me about any of this? why bring up false flags with "has other things on his plate, namely his other band "the new underground", a self proclaimed folk, indie punk band..."? if you arent going to get into specifics, why even mention that? why mention the band genre in that manner? absolutely no need for that. its as if you disagree with the genre and act like its a joke or something...

that band practiced more in a month than dysentery pretty much has since last october (and thats mainly due to nick or eric canceling last minute, not shit talk, just facts)... im not saying that im right and they are wrong. again i dont have a job thats pretty much the problem. but whatever, if thats how something like this is going to be handled then i dont really want a part of it anyway.

i'd just like to mention at all practices we have had--you have either been absent or you arrived with, of all things your bow and arrow and and or your fretless bass...but no amp and no head.
sure i have cancelled practice before, but its because i have bills to pay, i therefore have to work; we cant practice at eric's at an hour of the eve, henceforth, this is where the concept of a practice space works its way into things as a logical decision.
to turn start grandstanding and turning this around on me adam, and to say that this band is not worth investing 'your" time and or money because of a lack of material / commitment is a rather telling response by you and it is my case and point: you are an irresonsible dood who just doesnt have his shit together right now, and your not willing to own up on it. dont get offended, just acknowledge it and move on.
everyone in the band spoke about the practice space in allston and agreed, including you, that this is where we need to go from here in order to be successful and hopefully move to the next level.
I gave my word to those who offered the space to us
(and gave us preference over pillory) that WE would have the money.
BUT in the final hour you flaked..thereby, making me look like an asshole and putting someone else further into a potentially difficult financial situation...sure you used to be in tyag, and you are, an original member of dysentery, but why does that make your time and money any more special than mine...you couldnt even pony up 50 bucks?!

you told me to show up with my bow, only reason i brought it. i dont have 50 bucks. i showed up with my bass and played along even if i didnt have an amp and ive been calling up that dude that has my head everyday. i was absent twice, mainly because i was sleeping. i dont have "it together" and i acknowledged that. i said i dont feel like contributing money that i have to come up with somehow for 5 2 minute songs worth of material to show for it. i always mentioned not playing so many shows and looking so far ahead into the future and just sitting back and writing and practicing. but of course no one wanted to listen. i agreed on 100 a month, which was what i was told. i was then told it was double that, something i didnt agree on.

i never said anyone is more special than anyone else. i think i mentioned 3 times that i dont have a job and that is the major issue, but again i wouldnt want to contribute 50 bucks a month to practice like 3 times in that month.

your still not understanding one simple thing: a practice space facilitates more practicing: we can practice at any hour, (and temperature: as winter looms we cant just roll eric's dad's motor cycle out into the snow.) and considering that everyone would have to pay for it, it was symbolic of our commitment, it meant we were invested in this...it makes sense to go...because you pay for it...you pay for it because you believe in the music and enjoy playing it, which you claim to. i mean, are you as likely to sleep through practice when your paying your, 'hard earned' money for it? I wrote all 4 songs, the 5th was written as an collab. at practice by eric, will and i....where were you? i think at your other bands practice..if its is so imperitive that we have 'X' amount of material by such and such a time..why did i never get the chance to hear any of your contribution to riffage?

25 bucks and 50 bucks is a huge difference when it means whether or not i eat in near future. as much as it would seem that i get fed at home and have all the help in the world in being lazy, i dont. there's a reason i dropped about 40 pounds since march without exercise... 25 bucks lets me eat for about a week and half.

i think "near future" are the operative terms to examine bud..and the ironic side of this all is that unlike you, I DONT LIVE with my parents...thus i work to pay my bills, my rent and my food (i dont make much) which makes it that much harder for me to fit DYSENTERY into MY budget, the way i felt was fuck it, there are worthwhile sacrifices to be made for something bigger. this is the major difference between the type of person you and i are, and what derails your major point...aside from "facts" being right.
