Wait, I thought Cut Throat broke up? If I don't make it to this one I'm hitting up the RI show on the 31st.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 29,2007 5:38pm
I'm here now waiting outside. so so so sleepy.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 29,2007 5:58pm
slightly sunburnt, I just walked into this place, the street/parking lot is fairly full already. of course, I already have a smile on my face. this place is going to get packed.

first band is starting now.
hoods is off the tour.
show ends at 10:10.

and boston chris told me to tell everyone he says hello. I say, everyone get down here for this early show.

pledge of resistance: good band, old school NY hardcore. they had the whole first band syndrome. People respectfully stood there to watch them.

One cool thing about romans today is the extra speakers behind the band. Don't know if that is just for this show or not. either way, it's awesome. maybe this was what they bought after the old stuff was unloaded (last CT show here).

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 29,2007 7:34pm
SUB ZERO: they started off with my favorite song, necropolis. that song has such an epic build up. I thought feya wasn't showing and sub zero got all their timeslot. Whatever the case, subzero got a nice long set. Their music sounds like so many things. Some times NYCHC, other times old VOD. Very few breakdowns so kids seem to love it, but don't get many chances to mooove.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 29,2007 8:04pm
freya: I have purposely avoided this band. I have neverlistened to their CDs past the first one. I even forget the hype of this band (ex-earth crisis?). Why did I avoid them? I think it was cause of the last (covers?) CD of earth crisis and that there's a band called Puya when came out sucking. Their set was ok. I'm not really into their music, but maybe I'll give the CD another chance. it also seemed like the crowd wasn't too into them either.

cut throat: before their set, they were MIA. which made me believe that they wouldn't be playing and this was just a big joke. Finally, they came out. Only a couple practices to fill in on this show. The set was ridiculous as one would think. what a pleasure to be shooting things like this. so good. They messed up on the last song and then decided to play it again. Not as much crowd participation the second time cause there was a fight on the side of the stage. Lot of bloody towels. Hope everyone went home ok. I heard the words "face" and "soup" used together and that's never good.

Seriously, I feel bad for anyone who didn't make the journey out to Brockton tonight. This show seriously turned me into the happiest person ever on the way back home.

It was essentially everything I could ever hope and dream of.

Yes sir, it was a milestone day in Brockton. I wore mesh shorts to a show for the first time ever..... oh, and Agnostic Front played.

toggletoggle post by aaron_michael  at Jul 30,2007 9:23am
in the AF pictures, the guy holding onto the woman's chest as though it was a life preserver while he was drowning made for a chuckling morning

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 30,2007 9:25am
they fell on my knee with some other dudes during af's set. frownz.
my knee doesn't corner so well now. Thank you to the kids that caught me as I slow-motion protected my camera as I fell.

Ed (from back of tha neck) and this kid Dustin. Who used to come out to the pull the trigger shows.

It wasn't really a fight as much as it was a beat down. Ed's been beating Dustin ever since highschool.

He ended up getting 15 stitches in his face.

palehorse: nice addition to this show. The drummer is a machine. He was setting up and blasting really hard on his new drumset. This is one of the reason that all these bands and just this awesome (CT/CoA included) cause of a drumming stile that is tight, unique and really heavy. Oldschool hardcore with dudes that can blast. Mikey COA was on bass for them. At one point during their set some big dude grab vin and threw him back, landing right on the drums.

joe palehorse is a beast. one day he and i will have some sort of unholy collaboration

Basically we lost our drummer ben before tour because work/personal conflicts. So we got a temporary drummer to still do the Agnostic Front tour. So about 5 shows into it the dude bounced in southern indiana. Leading up to that we blew 2 tires, 2 trailor axles, van problems, speeding tickets, ect. To make it short it was fucking hell. Also we owe eulogy like $2500 for cds, have a $8200 merch bill, and just in gas for this tour we missed about $3000+. So were fucked. I think we found a new drummer but without help I doubt we can tour anytime soon. So if you can make a donation please please help us. Any amount is great. We have helped out hundreds of bands over the years and right now we could use the help of the scene. Thank you all so much. The dontaion button is located under band members. If you want to send it snail mail the addy is c/o HOODS 7781 la fiesta way sacramento,ca 95828 Again thank you all so much- mh
