There's a store called Huf across from where I live that has a group of people, primarily chiggers, who hang out there all the time. What do they sell? Sneakers and skateboards. They'll have "sneaker releases" and hundreds of people will line up, like they're PS3's or some shit. Most recent one I saw was for Simpsons Vans....kids were out there in lawn chairs at 6 AM waiting for the store to open.
It's not uncommon to hear phrases like "Damn son, you rocking the yellow joints today huh?"
