Seriously, be a nationalist, or ermm....regionalist? New England is by far the coolest place in American.

We've got:

Occult history
Ancient Graveyards
Oldest Houses in the country.
New Hampshire (best state in the union)

Awesome woods, mountains, beaches, ponds, rivers, lakes, cities, Lighthouses, and other features.

we got HP Lovecraft and Poe.
and Ben Franklin.

Fuck all other parts of America, sans Alaska, Alaska is unofficial 6th state of New England.

doing a report on New England, huh?

toggletoggle post by Y_Ddraig_Goch  at May 12,2007 2:49pm
Nah, I'm just a nationalist, if you can use that word, for this part of the country.

hhhaha , well it doesn't matter I only consider Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine part of New England, so I guess Alaska can be number five then

The Ocean State is the best.

See, I come from Boston.
I'm gonna tell you about how I love New England.
It's my favorite place.
I've been all around the world, but I love New England best.
I might be prejudiced.
But it's true, I love New England best.

Well, now...

You know, ladies and gentlemen, I've already been to Paris, I already been to Rome
And what did I do but miss my home?
I have been out west to Californ'.
But I miss the land where I was born.
I can't help it.
Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.
Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.

I have seen old Israel's arid plain.
It's magnificent, but so's Maine.
Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.
Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.

Doddly-doodly-do-do-doo-do-do
Doddly-doodly-do-do-doo-do-do
Doddly-doodly-do-do-doo-do-do
Doddly-doodly-do-do-doo-do-do Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, I love New England.
Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.

Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.
Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.
Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.
Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.

Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.
Dum-de-dum-de-dum-dum-da-dum-day
Oh, New England.

Freudian? Or do you mean that they relate to the phallic stage of Freudian theory? I'm confused, that building doesn't look like Freud at all. Nor, does it look as if Freud designed it. Was Freud an architect?

CT doesn't count. They're all Jets and Yankees fans. I think we know where their loyalty lies...

Connecticut and RI suck......

Both just extensions of NY.

Don't forget the fact that because of us having the oldest houses in America, we also have some of the most haunted areas in America, and some of them are some pretty kickass places.

I love New England.

not to mention the oldest burial grounds, and all kinds of cool indian names for places that make them sound metal.

Like Naragansett (sp?) Massachusetts, Saugus, Pemigewasset (sp?) Nisitissit...and so on...

If everyone here hasn't been to the old burying ground in Salem, I suggest it. It looks like something out of a gothic romance novel ala Poe.

fuck yes! i love new england with all my heart and im so glad my family decided to settle here. everything about it rules, as mentioned above. the rest of the country sucks. we should secede. then we could import topless swedish weather reports.

by the way, rhode island ftw! this state is quintessential new england... if you disagree you have some reading up and sightseeing to do.

I'll have to visit Rhode Island, it's were HP Lovecraft lived, Providence if I'm correct. It's amazing to think I've only been to four states in my 20 winters, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont.

toggletoggle post by tomx nli at May 13,2007 10:59pm
lovecraft's house isn't too far from brown university, and edgar allen poe used to frequent the wickenden pub.

ps newport has mysterious viking ruins, which stand prettily in the center of a small park. experts think its either a grain silo or a small chapel. either way its viking and metal and awesome.

Touro Park, love that park.

ENSLAVED played Newport in 1995.

Do you remember that bar the Rock in Newport? The December Wolves played there in 96.

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at May 13,2007 11:27pm
RI is definitely not an extension of NY. It's just Massachusetts junior.

RI fucking sucks. But no state sucks like NY.

toggletoggle post by yummy at May 14,2007 7:23am
yes, that's the one with Incantation. Do you have the flier for the show? How the hell do you know the date? For some reason I thought Candiria was on this too. I saw them play there without a bass player way back when. It could have been a different show entirely.
