Yeah, all Oakland QBs last year combined for 8 td passes. That is, 1 pass every two games. You can't blame Randy for all of that. Their QBs were terrible and their offensive line was porous.

This is good and bad. I heard this today and I was shocked. I say it's good because of the talent he still has and the deep threat Tom Brady finally has. Moss is the best receiver to replace Deion Branch in that aspect.

As far as the bad, he's not the man to carry with him good team chemistry. But of course, Belichick is known for straightening players out and I think he will do that with Moss. It's either Bill's way or the highway and this same logic goes along with the first round pick the Patriots got in Brandon Meriwhether. He was involved in that college football brawl last year and has other off the field problems.

If the Patriots don't CLOBBER on everybody this year, I will be genuinely shocked. They might as well start inscribing the Pats' name on the trophy now, haha.

By the way, Miami is RETARDED for passing up on Brady Quinn when they had the shot. Now, Miami has no one to stick with and I doubt the Trent Green trade will go through. The Jets are terrible in the draft so I'm not expecting a threat in the division this year.

Aight, here's how I see it.....

EEI and the Whiner line will be blowing up, not even to trash it as much just because all the gem callers have good comic chops and should have a field day with this. DeOssie will be rockin his old Giants jersey now that his son is a Giant.

Moss I think will be a great target for Brady and will tear up the field. He may be a lil older, but he hasn't had much to work with after the Vikings went downhill, then he went to the nadir that is the Raiders. He took the hit in pay for this. His contract has been restructured for less money and with a character clause (He starts any shit on or off the field, he gets the boot.) He just wants to win. With a team like the Pats around him which takes no bullshit at all, he will drink the kool-aid and shut his yap just like Corey Dillon did.

Brandon Meriwhether was a good draft and I have no worries about his "character issues". He was involved in a full on team to team brawl. Everyone on both teams lost their minds that day. The whole thing was nuts, but if he was gonna get picked up by the Pats, I'd like to think they have faith in him not turning into a Pacman Jones.
I think he'll keep his shit together in the Pats system and should perform well. Rodney Harrison only has a few seasons left, so they need a new kid in to start grooming into that sort of model Safety under the wing of guys like Harrison, Samuel and (if he comes back for one more season) Junior Seau.

Bottom line, the Patriots are going to be absolutely insane this season.

I'm not gonna knock John Beck, but I do think in the long run that Miami will be kicking themselves over that one. Aside from wanting to play for his childhood hometown team, Brady Quinn will prove to be a worthwhile developement for the Browns.

i think randy will be dandy. i know a lot of people can't stand him, but i think he will make the most of this chance, regardless of whether he deserves it or not. hopefully he can redeem himself and be a team player here.

Moss is a hall of famer for Christ's sake. Great pick up, and who cares about attitude, we need some of that shit, if we plan to get more rings!

keys to the Pats going deep this year:

1. Adapting Randy Moss to the Patriots way of life, i.e. team before the player, work hard, play smart, shutup.
2. Keep Malroney healthy and productive. The loss of Daniel Graham has the potential to hurt the running game as much as the loss of Corey Dillon.
3. Get the offensive line to work up to their potential. Matt Light was killing Brady last year. I don't know if there was an injury or anything, but it was really effecting the passing game.
4. Keep the freak, season ending injuries to a minimum. The Pats injury report was longer than Schindler's list for the majority of the season.

I think this trade will work out well for us in the end. Brady is by far the best quarterback Moss has ever worked with. Yeah, he's cocky, but so is Rodney Harrison. The difference between them in Harrison's dedication is unquestioned. If they can teach that to Moss we're all set. Some people are quick to forget that there are a lot of great leaders on the Pats: Teddy Bruschi, Mike Vrabel, Tom Brady, Troy Brown who are no bullshit guys. When some of the younger guys were fucking around this season, and costing us some games Brady called them out on it and they were playing solid, Patriots-style football in the last few months of the season.
