Theres been an Alien box set for years.

toggletoggle post by RustedAngel at Nov 28,2003 10:29am edited Nov 28,2003 10:38am
this is the QUADdrilogy = all 4 movies, 9 disc's total!

cut and uncut version of each movie.

over 44 hours of bonus material.

the 'alien legacy' boxset just includes the 4 original movies.

toggletoggle post by moran   at Nov 28,2003 10:43am
oh, thats pretty cool then.

toggletoggle post by Beakey   at Nov 28,2003 10:57am
They should release a box set with nothing but the Bill Paxton scenes from Aliens.
There should be at least 75 discs, with over 4,000 hours of deleted scenes and promotional shots of Bill Paxton taking on the aliens with a fury previous thought impossible.

Bill Paxton: the man.

haha yeah, he's such a pussy in aliens it's great.

hudson = bill paxton

"Well that's great, that's just fuckin' great man, now what the fuck are we supposed to do? We're in some real pretty shit now man... That's it man, game over man, game over, man! Game over! What the fuck are we gonna do now? What are we gonna do? " - hudson

"Stop your grinnin' and drop your linen!" - hudson

"We're on an express elevator to Hell! Goin' down!" - hudson

"Hey, maybe you haven't been keeping up on current events, but we just got our asses kicked pal!" - hudson

"Come on! Come on! Come and get it, baby! Come on! Let's go, yeah, come on! Come on! Come and get it you bastards! Come on, you too! Oh, you want some of this? Fuck you!" - hudson

another good scene:

Ripley: Well, someone's gonna have to go down there, take a portable transmitter and patch in.
Hudson: Yeah, sure, with those things running around? You can count me out.
Hicks: Well I guess we can count you out of everything then.
Hudson: That's right, man.
Bishop: I'll go. I mean, I'm the only one qualified to remote-pilot the ship anyway.
Hudson: That's right, man, Bishop should go. Good idea!

hahahahaha!

toggletoggle post by Beakey   at Nov 28,2003 11:14am
Who would win in a fight?

Hicks & Ripley vs. Hudson & Bishop?

toggletoggle post by RustedAngel at Nov 28,2003 11:19am
hicks and ripley. hahaha.

Definitely.
Hicks not only has the power to fight off aliens in their own habitat, but can also travel back in time to fight Governor Arnold, and even further, can send Governor Arnold back in time to protect himself in the past.
I wonder if he knows that, in the past, he was Eddie Furlong.
I bet that, if he did, he wouldn't have had himself saved.

Ripley is stronger than all.
She's like Blood For Blood and Death Threat all wrapped up into one big ball of lovin'.

ripley = hottttt

toggletoggle post by Beakey   at Nov 28,2003 11:39am
She's much better looking than any of her other clones turned out to be.
Unless you're into minor deformities.

toggletoggle post by RustedAngel at Nov 28,2003 11:42am
even hotter.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 28,2003 1:24pm
I bought the old triolog boxset.

it rocked.

Best lines in aliens
Riply:This little girl survived this long with these things
Hudson: Well why dont you put her in charge!??!!??!"

toggletoggle post by RustedAngel at Nov 28,2003 1:48pm
add to that list:

"Get away from her you BITCH!!" - ripley

I never knew Amex points could get me the dvd set. Thank you Wal-Mart!

SWEET

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 9,2004 2:41pm
damn it... why did I buy the boxset for $48 2 or 3 years ago!
I could have had so much more.

toggletoggle post by litacore   at Jan 9,2004 2:49pm
I'm sure I'll be thinkin' the same thing after Aliens vs. Predator is released with all this extra stuff and more, including

1.) infinity hours of Ripley bloopers
2.) all the metal CDs you could ever want
3.) the key to the meaning of life
4.) and Osama's head on a plate

I assume that extended version of alien 1 is the director's cut that was in the theaters again last halloween right?

Also, I wonder if they'll release another boxset once Aliens vs. Predator comes out. haha.

toggletoggle post by RustedAngel at Jan 9,2004 3:00pm edited Jan 9,2004 3:01pm
supposively 'quadrilogy' is not a real word...thats kinda funny.

and yes, the directors cut that was in theaters last helloween is included, but it's 1 minute shorter than the original theatrical. honestly, the original cut is little bit better. for example in the directors cut:

the scene when brett looks for jones (cat) and enters the room with the chains hanging from the ceiling you see the alien hanging on the chains, and when the alien pulls him up 2 crew members run in right after and looking up. In the original after he gets pulled up it just shows the cat looking up. i think the original was more eerie.

unless sigourney is in alien vs predator i don't think they should connect it to the previous movies. hopefully it doesn't suck too bad.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 9,2004 3:03pm edited Jan 9,2004 3:07pm
actually, it would be super sick if they do a vs. p well.
not cheese but super in depth with histories of each of the cultures of each creature. Maybe this is asking too much, but all the freaking details that the aliens movies are built on top of are super super sick.

toggletoggle post by RustedAngel at Jan 9,2004 3:06pm edited Jan 9,2004 3:06pm
i just hope the no00b director in charge doesn't ruin everything.

Id like to see a Lez scene with Ripley and.......that spanish space marine chick in Aliens....she was hot.

toggletoggle post by menstrual_sweatpants_disco   at Jan 9,2004 4:36pm
Paul Anderson (Mortal Kombat, Event Horizon, Resident Evil) is doing it. I don't think sigourney is in it either. I saw some pre-production trailer or something. The plot is something about arctic archeologists who uncover an underground pyramid with aliens all over it or some shit. and then the predators come down and try to kill something to complete their predator bar mitzvahs or something.

Aliens Vs. Predator.

I hate to be a noodge, but aren't they technically BOTH aliens?

toggletoggle post by DeOdiumMortis  at Jan 9,2004 6:59pm
Maybe Predator is like a really old caveman time race that populated Earth initially, then they left cause they got sick of humans as our numbers grew, then they can back to fight Arnold and Danny Glover. Then technically they wouldn't be aliends, but they would be deserving a homecoming parade.

From IMDB:

1.- An expedition of archaeologists on Earth discover an Aztec temple hidden under the Antarctic circle, housing a host of Alien creatures. A group of five coming-of-age Predators have also come to the temple, as it has long been a training ground for their race. From there on, it's Aliens vs. Predators, with the humans caught in the middle.

2.- Set in the early 21st century on Earth, Charles Weyland, an industrialist billionaire, leads an archaeological expedition in Antartica. Using thermal imaging satellites, Weyland believes to have discovered the ruins of an ancient pyramid temple that predates the Egyptian and Aztec pyramids buried under the ice. Once inside, the team finds the remains of humans with holes in the rib cage and the remains of facehuggers, meaning that the possibility of the temple being uninhabited is very unlikely. To make matters worse, five teenage Predators are coming to the temple to perform a coming-of-age ritual that involves fighting to the death with the aliens. Soon, it becomes clear that only one species is getting out alive.
